30 minutes, hm?

Lest see what 30 minutes can bring.

The bassline is good and catchy, and really, to be honest, if you wanna be serious about making dance or trance, a catchy bassline or a decent melody is all you need.

The rest of the resonance synths you have sound great, as I really like the sound. To get better, listen to some famous artists... Human Evolution, DJ Tiesto, Milk Inc. etc. And even some of the trance artists around here on newgrounds can help you a lot. Listen to how they arrange the song, that will give a good idea of when you break the drums in and out, how loud to keep the hi hats, where to kick in melodies, etc.

Good work! I was not even nearly this good when I first started =) Keep it up! Check out my music sometime?

Thank you! I just figured out how to use FL Studio (well, the basics) yesterday. I'll check out some of those artists, but for now...

....homework. XD Got an essay due on Tuesday.

Powerful

The Gabba kick you have going there is very nice, adds a great feeling to the entire song. This song fits under 'dance' very well. I do feel that the kick could use some more distortion.

The clap is the only thing in this song thats bugging me... It would be better if you chose to use a better sample than that, it sounds kind of flat, unlike the rest of the track.

The melody is nice and simple, and releatively catchy.

Good work on the song, good work! Keep it up! =D

Lova-Gurl responds:

thanks

Very nice.

The guitars add an entire new feel to the track.. veyr relaxed. With some beautiful female lyrics, this song wold be a big hit.
The ride cymbal is one of small complaints... its rather tinny. Maybe turn down the resonance on it, or just make the sample shorter, and make it longer by adding a slight reverb. That should even it out.

The crash cymbals are a nice touch when they first hit, but after that, they should get quieter, so as to not be all overpowering.

Great work, this song is actually very well exectuted. Excellent work. Keep it up! Check out my music sometime?

Lova-Gurl responds:

yeah i will and thanks

Good thing I'm reviewing at this time

Haha, I might get the first review.

This has a very nice surrounding to it, I really like the suspense... but you drag it on a little bit long. The FX and everytihg are great, but if you broke in a bass synth ros the drum sooner, I'd be much happier.

When you brought in the stutter drums, I was very much dissapointed that there was not new synths to accomany!
When you brought in the real drumns, then things got sexy. Demon bass synths galore and trance ticks.

Everytihg was gret, but those trance synth ticks could be changed something that is seriousl detuned, you know? So it fits the song.

Awesome work, I am impressed yet again. Keep it up! Check me out sometime?

Thanks for the review.

Trance is good.

So you MUST get a review =)

Its respectable that your making a song for a friend whos going to war. Seriously.

The drum work in this song is great, the shakers in the backround are great. But, the synth work screams out 'cliche' to me...sorry. Its great, this will most definatly get a download from me, but I seriously want to see a little more originality in the song.

Oo oo oo oo... its building up! Aw man, was the female vox nessecary? If you just dropped the song for 4 bars, got rid of the vox, then added an awesome snare and synth break then this song would be renriched a LOT.

Awesome style, I like what you've got, but try to be a little more original, and work on your breaks and drops a little more.

Awesome work, download and 5! Keep it up! =D

Kmax responds:

It is a bit cliche, but only for him tho, he's the "Closet Techno" lover, so I wanted to making something familiar to him. But thanks for the review man.

I 5'd in advance

Because I love trance! =D

I heard a little tiny bit of clipping with the high resonanced piano... no compressors? =/ I hpoe this doesn't distort... oh good, it doesn't.

The piano riff is very catchy, and is at just the right volume. I'm hearing some very nice solid beats, while still being diverse (in the piano).

My only advice would be for the percussion. Have some shakers going in the backround or something, make them sound full, and when you have a big build coming up where you are going to bring in another instrument, do a drum break! A big off beat kick/clap combo break would be awesome, instead of a fade off or something.

Great work, very nice melodies, and I didn't hear any clipping, and lots of low freuqncies =) Good work!Keep it up! Maybe check out my songs later?

xPHS responds:

Thank you. And regarding your question, if I have time, yes.

Very nice VGM feel.

My only complaint is with the closed high hat. I goes really offbeat with the kick, and it just kinda makes the entire song sound 'off'. Make the hat go at 16th notes, then that should solve your problems. If doing that means turning down the hats, then so be it.

The diversity in the melody and the choir is rather enjoyable... good work.

Keep it up =D

Rixium responds:

Thanks for the advise and compliments, much appreciated.

Long drum n bass =)

Thats always good to see.

Instead of the bongos making the melody, maybe it would be better if you had tribal instruments doing the sounds? Glockenspiels, woodblocks, etc.

Very nice, but don't hit the crash every 4 beatrs. Kinda gets annoying after a while... =/

Good for a jungle scene, but try to make a it sound alittle more eciting with break downs and build ups and all that.

Keep it up, could use some more improvement, but, don't we all =) Check out my music later?

Rixium responds:

Sure I'll Look, and thanks for the advice =D

Yar

Is what pirates say when they hear a kick ass song!

You sure love gabba... that means you are my newest friend. When you submit a song, you really should mark the song, y'now? So when you submit, then I KNOW that its you, and then I can review it =)
At the beginning of your tracks, heres a good example:
'Padman-Ramp it up'
Thats a good way to name your songs. Just put your name infront =)

Anyways, to the song.

Awesome drum work in te beignning. Distortion galore. I'd like to just hear more dynamics when you break into other parts of the song, like, at a transition, use a crash.
At the beginning, maybe if you used the crash after you brought those stirngs in, after maybe filtering them in? For more drama.

There is a melody in this... a very good, mixed with acid. Me likes. ALOT. But its getting a little bit distorted... compressors on the master channel, my friend.

Greeat use of FX, very enjoyable. Again, you get my 5 and a download. Thank you for the ear candy.
Keep it up =D

dj-padman1 responds:

Thanks for another review Mr XI. Hmm...crashes, excellent idea! Their power can not be underestimated.
Thanks for the useful review, but in my defence I do have a compressor and limiter on the master channel. Someday I just need to learn how the hell they work! :)

Keep cranking out the tunes man.

Awesome beginning synth =)

I thought that the high resonance synth was going to hurt my ears, but it turned out for the better =) I like that synth.

When the whole high synth with the awesome breaks in, I was like 'wow, this is actually pretty good'. I think I would be even happier if you took that shaker like igh hat and turned it down, and then added a open hat every half beat.

For grooves sake ;)

Awesome work, I really enjoyed it. You get my 5. Maybe you can check out my music later?

ArKaineRevived responds:

Yeah I love FL 6, Sytrus has been made free, WOOHOO!! Anyway, thanks a lot for your good review, and I'll check out your music too!

I love Goa trance. Goa trance loves me. We make good music, Goa trance and I. You should check out some of our music in the audio portal =D
