Dnb? =)

For some strange reason, I can't see you making DnB. Oh well, so far this track is taking off.

You've got the great DnB feel going. Smooth bassline, and great drums. Just try to remember this: The people want a good steady beat to scream and bob their head to. Fast 16th notes in a 170+ tempo just doesn't have that smooth feel, y'now?

This track is very well done. You did a seriously amazing job. I am impressed =)

Keep it up!

I don't think I heard the original.

Darn >=(

This song does sound catchy enough though, when it all breaks in. Very nice bell melody with the bassline.

One thing about the bassline: its only 4 bars long. Usually thats perfectly OK. But in this song, it goes (in the note order) First note, higher second note, lowere third note, and really low fourth note. It sounds realy nice, but wen you repeat it twice, it just sounds too reptitive. Maybe you should have made the second 4 bar bassline pattern go first note, higher second note, even higher melodic third note, and then slightly lower fourth note. It would add so much more to the song.

Other than that, they drums are nice and diverse, the melodies are nice and thought out.

Great work, keep it up!

Ah, fabric softener.

You know, for some reason, I can clearly see why you named it that. The synths are spacey, and somewhat disturbing, and they are also silky and smooth. Very nice.

Good work, keep it up! Just try add some percussion in the future. Could you drop by my audio apge and review a song or two? I'd really appreciate it you did.

swordkill responds:

:) thanks for giving it such a high rating. oh, and yeah, sure I will review some of your stuff!

Nice.

Very calming vocals, but I didn't really like the layering you did with them at the beginning. The 'T' sound that they girl makes really stands out. Maybe you should add some groovey percussion or something?

Good work though, this is a pretty groovy track! ^_^

Keep it up! I can see you going some great music in the future! Could you check out my songs later and leave a review or two? I'd appreciate it =D

QcStorm responds:

hahaha,It started out to be a real joke. but ended up being a masterpiece ( sarcasm)

eJay vocal's suck really badly.

I checked some of your musics, and your a better musician than me :( I gotta learn how to use fruity loop someday.

Very industrial =)

I already addressed the compression problems that you have in your music.. =( so I'll leave that out of this review.

The first synth breaks into a very nice groove. It leaves a great stepping stone for the rest of the song. The breaks you used were very well placed, and the end of the song was very original and nice to lsiten to =)

Keep it up! You'll be doing masterpieces in no time =D

plang responds:

Yeah the same problem with this one too, I need to be aware of what the song sounds like after I compress it, thanks for the great review! :)

Ah, your 14.

When I was 14, one year ago, I had just gotten into the meat of making music, and I had finally gotten a grasp of the concepts of it. I can see its the same for you =)

This song has me bobbin' my head, seriously, you have excellent timing, and very nice smooth melodies in this track. Awesome.

When the full beat broke in, IP was like, 'YEAH!'. My one complaint lies with the compression job. As good as any song is, it gest slightly ruined when there is a bad compression job. Add a compressor to compress the entire song as a whole, and then tinker with the volume levels on your synths, and boom. You've then got a well compressed song. It does take a while to learn how to compress, but in the end, its much worth it =)

Your very good at what you do, and I hope that soon you will be a household name on newgrounds =)

plang responds:

When I first compressed this song, the bass was WAY too loud, so loud it completely drowned out all the other parts of the song, so I turned down the bass and that turned out great because you could still hear it, but after i submitted I noticed that the beginning piano did have a little bit of a problem and it was due to compression so I'll be aware of that next time I compress one of my songs. :) Thanks for the great review!

Very groovy and slow =)

Ah, we all love Mario. I like how you kept the song very tribal feeling, and I could see this being used in a flash very soon. But, whats with the quality? Its so low in quaity, I hear distortion =( Try not to do that in the future, =)

Keep it up!

zoglander responds:

ty for the score :)
the program i used cant export sooo, i had to record it from that. so considering that i think i did a god job :)

"Flying With Time"

This song fits the title very well. I get a flying feel when I listen to this song.

Overall, I think you just need work a little bit on structure. Maybe listen to some video game music and se how they do it so you can get the perfect feel, instead of just an alright feel?

Good work, keep it up!

zoglander responds:

its made out of loads of different tracks and i had to put them togeather in audacity, and it didnt work too well :/

I like this song.

Please don't mangle it. =(

Oh good, you didn't =D Very nice lead synth, along with the drums. Much more solid than the original, in my opinion.

As much as I love this song, your 'remix' is exactly the same (despite the small difference in samples and VSTs). I would have really enjoyed it you remixed it into Gabber, Goa, 80s Techno, something like that! I would have really appreciated it much more if you would have done that, instead of remaking it.

Remixing - taking the catchy part of a song and incorporating it into your idea of the song.

Remaking - doing the same note for note, pattern for pattern as the oriignal song. Basically pointless =(

But, I still don't really care. I like this song. Just keep that in mind for the future.

Could you drop by my audio page and leave a review or two? I'd really appreciate it if you did =D

Demo?

Its really not nice to listen to a demo version of a song... then to me, I think that the musician didn't try if all he did was submit a demo. Try to keep song lengths to 1 minute to 2 minutes, and pour all your talent into them! Then we KNOW you tried your hardest =)

The song is good, nice progression, but the drums are to simple. Sure, its nice for the beignning, but the hard dignified simplicity doesn't really work out. Make some 909 ride samples go, some open hi hat samples, shakers, anything percussion, make it colourful! It would make the song very enjoyable.

Other than that, you have a pretty darn good piece of trance right here. I could see me hitting the dance floor to this =D

Keep it up! Could you stop by my audio page and check out my music, and leave a review or two? I'd appreciate it if you did =D

Apple-Eater responds:

Yeah i jsut dont really have time to make a full song but when i get the full full verson on my music making program i will do my best to make a great trance or techno song...

Thx for review great advice you gave and ill look in to makeing full versons for my demo's
